Product Introduction

The three-layer polyethylene (3LPE) coating process consists of:

• First layer: Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE)
• Second layer: Adhesive (AD)
• Third layer: Polyethylene (PE)

This three-layer structure provides excellent corrosion protection for steel pipes and can extend pipeline service life from 5–10 years to 50–100 years.

It is widely used in:

• Oil and gas pipelines
• Urban gas transmission pipelines
• Water supply pipelines
• District heating projects

The 3LPE coating features:

• High mechanical strength
• Excellent electrical insulation
• Strong resistance to moisture, chemicals, and environmental aging
• Long-term anti-corrosion performance

• Second layer: Adhesive (AD) 170–250 μm
• Third layer: Polyethylene (PE) 2.5–3.7 mm
